Passersby

When you walk down the street in Rotterdam you will encounter a lot of people. I think that no one is aware of how many people you see during a walk through the city. Sometimes someone is resting on a bench, like the old man in this photo. Other people are on their way to work again. Sometimes you meet a friend and you make a chat. Most people stay anonymous for each other as they walk through the city. They are too busy on the way to something important. Wanneer je in Rotterdam over straat loopt kom je flink wat mensen tegen. Ik denk dat niemand zich bewust is hoeveel mensen je ziet tijdens een wandeling door de stad. Soms rust er even iemand uit op een bankje, zoals de oude man op deze foto. Andere mensen zijn weer op weg naar hun werk. Soms kom je een bekende tegen en maak je een praatje. De meeste mensen blijven voor elkaar anoniem als ze door de stad wandelen. Ze zijn te druk bezig onderweg naar iets belangrijks.
