Ferro dome

The fence must keep curious visitors at a distance. The forbidden smoking sign reminds of the time that this industrial Rotterdam icon still had the function of gas holder. A gas holder is a large storage tank for (light) gas that was extracted from coal in a gas factory and temporarily stored for industrial or domestic use. Today the Ferro Dome has become a multifunctional theater. A wonderful place to celebrate a beautiful party. Het hek waarachter dit oude industriële icoon van Rotterdam staat moet nieuwsgierige bezoekers op afstand houden. Het bord verboden te roken herinnert nog aan de tijd dat dit gebouw de functie had van gashouder. Een gashouder is een grote voorraadtank voor (licht)gas dat in een gasfabriek uit steenkool werd gewonnen en voor industrieel of huishoudelijk gebruik tijdelijk werd opgeslagen. Vandaag de dag is de Ferro dome een multifunctioneel theater geworden. Een prachtige plek om een mooi feest te vieren.
